POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet a set of standards. The Quality Control Inspector examines shipments of inventory and raw goods, measuring the specifications of random items in each production run and training team members to refine production. The Quality Control Inspector performs assessment, documentation and organization tasks to support the efficiency and effectiveness of ProMed’s supply chain. This position operates under minimal guidance from management or senior staff. The Quality Control Inspector ensures ProMed’s brand, philosophy, systems, policies, and procedures are properly implemented and observed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Microscopic and visual inspection of manufactured parts;
- Dimensional inspection of manufacturing parts using related measuring equipment (Micro Vu, caliper, pin gages, etc.);
- Inspects output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality;
- Checks that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures;
- Reviews blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods;
- Records inspection results by completing reports, summarizes re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database;
- Updates job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training;
- Keeps measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs;
- Supports ProMed’s Quality System, policies and objectives;
- Demonstrates a high degree of organization, accuracy, thoroughness and efficiency;
- Meets expectations of regular, reliable attendance;
- Other Duties As Needed: Any other duties and tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Required:
- Quality background;
- Documentation experience;
- Experience working in cleanroom environment;
- Knowledge of dimensional measuring equipment, pin gages, and calipers, as well as other equipment as required;
- Must have Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel);
- Commitment to continuous improvement company-wide;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal; professional, courteous and friendly personality; clearly conveys ideas and information and receives information effectively;
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving and time-sensitive skills;
- Ability to create positive working relationships with a diverse group of people including gender, ethnicity, age, and cultural and skill level differences;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of quality experience preferred;
- Knowledge and/or training to ISO 13485 (current) standards;
- Ability to read blueprints.
